Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

The baccalaureate degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing at BU are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036
202-887-6791.

Bloomsburg University's Department of Nursing is a nationally recognized leader in nursing education and has a strong history of academic excellence, as well as the reputation of facilitating the adult learner to achieve their professional goals, making the online RN-BSN program a perfect fit for those Registered Nurses seeking to continue their education toward the BSN. The progressive, challenging curriculum of the RN-BSN program — along with distinguished experienced faculty — provides vital knowledge and skills for the development of competence in the multifaceted roles of the professional nurse.

With the recommendation from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) to increase the number of nurses with a baccalaureate degree by 2020 to 80 percent and the requirement for 80 percent of nurses to be baccalaureate prepared for magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Bloomsburg University Department of Nursing is prepared to facilitate the attainment of these goals for both students and organizations.

The curriculum is offered 100 percent online through a proven learning platform for convenience and accessibility for students. Courses are taught by faculty who are committed and experienced in online delivery.
